I think dealership size may be relevant, but big or small they likely only get a given allocation. If they have few buyers interested in iX, then you jump the line so to speak, opposite of that is big or small, with high iX demand, there will be a line (you are correct captain obvious). Not sure if they will give you insight to their queue since they all want you to order through them. I actually paid to switch, i.e. had 2 on order for a very short time, thinking if I am going to wait 8 or 9 months, what difference does it make. I wanted to work with the second dealer more than the first, at least for buying. I found out literally 2 days after I ordered the second one that the first one which was still 8 months out in my mind went into production. Both dealers prepped me for the long wait, so it is still unclear to me what changed. Based on what they told me, it would have been a coin flip, but in reality, it has played out differently, at least on the build. I don't have the car yet, it is still @ the factory so assuming it clears QC, and heads to the port soon, I am still several weeks out. Much better than 1st qtr next year either way.
