Has anyone heard anything about orders for USA? I placed mine 06/01, received confirmation, and have heard nothing since them from BMW.

Same here. Not sure if this helps but we went to a BMW event in Arizona a few weeks ago and the iX was on display. There was a product specialist there that was pretty knowledgeable. He said the configurator would go live in November. Wish I had more info for you..
Thank you. How did you find out about the BMW event?
I started getting marketing emails from BMW shortly after I made me reservation. This was for “The BMW Ultimate Driving Experience “. A traveling road show where they have demos and set up a track in the parking lot for test drives. I called the toll free number to ask if the iX was going to be on display in Phoenix. It was there for static display only. No test drives. I just checked their website. Only Dallas and NYC are left this year.
I hadn’t heard anything so a few weeks ago called my dealer and said it was
Opening 11/11, how accurate that is I don’t know but I was going to follow up with them later this coming week to see if I needed to do it in person or what not.
New to forum and put deposit down on 6-21-21. I also haven’t heard anything from my dealer or BMWNA on when I can pick, colors, options, etc. 11/11 sounds promising. My dealer Classic BMW was just purchased by Sewell. Still waiting for the dust to clear. Thanks for sharing your info.
I called them this week and the person I talked to this time didn’t know anything about it opening. Frustrated, I called bmw i team number on their website, he couldn’t tell me anything either although he had internal data on the USA options I got out of him. He didn’t have prices but it appears for USA the electrochromatic roof is standard, air suspension is an option, and he didn’t see anything about massaging seats guessing maybe they axed that due to semiconductor nonsense. Guess time will tell.

Basically at this point I have reservations on iX, rivian r1t and a f150 and just gonna take whatever I can get my hands on first, my guess is still bmw though

I got my first info from the dealer this week - including the pricing guide (see attached pdf), and an example of what the leather multifunction seats look like (see thumbnail below - this was the first I heard of different seats other than what has been seen on the web).

Thanks for posting the options pricing, irritating no body would provide me with that. Guess no soft close doors for me, certainly not getting the crystal knobs. Guessing if they have that internally hopefully not too longer for configurator

Yeah, I did ask the dealer about getting the soft close doors without the bling knobs and he said that wasn't an option. When I've had soft close doors I've really liked them, and felt very spoiled, and so I guess I'll just keep the door option and put duct tape over the crystal, for that chateau outside, trailer park inside look.

Wondering if they can get base price with delivery fee below 80k to at least have some cars qualify for fed tax credit assuming new proposal from house gets approved in reconciliation with senate version.

Probably when the iX40 comes out.
Probably when the iX40 comes out.
Will the IX40 be considered an SUV or a car. The Mustang Mach E right now is considered a station wagon by EPA so if car is above 55k than it will not qualify.
I was able to build my iX today on the BMW USA website and send my build to the local dealer I ordered through. It has pricing and a confirmation code for your config. (They don’t ask for your order # so it doesn’t seem geared toward those of us who have paid and are waiting for the first delivery). Waiting to hear from Dealer now to confirm…

Just out of curiosity were your dealers able to submit for the black 22 rims (style 1020)? Mine stated they couldn’t see that style available and had to submit it with the standard style 1021 which is frustrating
Looks like dynamic handling package is mandatory, 1,600 for now Jacking price up a bit.

I got the email today to configure. Was hoping to see the seats design you have shown, but it did not show up on the configurator. Did your get any other info from your dealer?

Actually, looking carefully at the center console those seats do not appear to be in an iX.
Following up: After waiting 5 hours from opening and not getting a return call I drove to the dealer and refused to budge until he could see me and put the order through. (I totally went for bling knobs and soft close :) ) Then he said the guy who puts the orders thru was off today! Eventually he called the guy at home who agreed to put it through. I haven’t seen my confirmation and delivery queue number yet so fingers crossed all goes to plan. No delivery date quoted but he did tell me that the chips BMW does have are being allocated to the iX. The X5’s and X7’s are being delivered with no touch screens.
I am on the Facebook X5 45e forum. I believe it is no touchscreen functionality. Also back-up assistant is removed due to chip shortage. For this the customers who have already ordered will receive a $500 credit. On configuring my build last night it stated on completion that "Some components, features and models may be delayed or not available". Will be talking with my local dealer about these weasel words before I submit.
