Using the included license plate holder (US)

I've decided to just go with the included license plate holder, and was wondering if it was worth even going to the dealership to have it put on. They mentioned that it's a screw-in process? (Perhaps they were just saying that since other non-iX models are screw-in?)

The bracket that came with the car has 4 adhesive strips on the back, is it as simple as lining it up and putting it on there? Any reason why I would want to go to the dealership to do that?

Yes you can just line it up.
I would get some 3M Primer 94 adhesion promoter though to double the adhesion
and put it on in warm weather over 70F
I used the 2 dealer license plate frames and some plastic screws instead.

why not just get the sto n sho license plate bracket for the IX and eliminate damaging your bumper?

2 way taping the plate holder to the grille will not damage it.
You don't have to drill any holes and it can be removed.
However the sto n sho is an option if you like the look.
Personally I think putting the plate in the grille looks better.

I beg to differ but that's just me. I did not want that plate in the middle of the grill. Thats why I chose the sto n sho, but to each their own.

I think the grille is too big and gaping.
Putting the plate in it takes away from that and it's also in the center

I did not realize such an option existed. It’s on there now with the adhesive, and it’s on there pretty good… is it possible to take it off? I’m worried that I’ll damage the grill if I try…

I've not heard that anyone has successfully...and cleanly with no damage/residual sticky stuff left on finishing grill. I chose to use a tow hook bracket for the front plate (Amazon vendors sell them). I'm a fan of letting the full grill be visible.

If you warm it up with a hair dryer you can use a bondo spreader like a knife and a panel removal tool to slowly and carefully get it off.
The bondo spreader and the panel tool will not scratch the grille.
You can clean off the film that's left with a solvent rag and the panel tool or bondo spreader or your finger nails after softening it up.
