Hi, I'm a new iX owner in California. The car cannot be registered until the DMV can confirm it has a vehicle emissions control information label required by law. Does anyone know where this is located within the car? Neither DMV nor myself was able to find it, and the BMW dealership I've called here so far doesn't know where it is either and has not responded yet. If it's under the hood, that's not good, as the hood cannot be opened without special tools from BMW, from what I understand.

@physicsofx super helpful, I was able to open the hood and voila there was the emissions control label. I will now take it to DMV. Problem solved, thank you. @joincloud I did not mention that I bought it out of state (I found it calling dealers and looking for cancelled orders), so did not have the usual streamlined registration process

BMW follows US DOT regulations and this labels are located under the hood.
What my brother from Germany is telling me there are cable hooks in the driver side and passenger side, lower side of dashboard that have to be pulled on both sides to release hood locks and open the hood.
