That's a good question. I drive an iX40 in Brazil. In my opinion, if they have made the 50 at a more reasonable price, there would not be a reason for the 40 to exist. But the gap in price between the two is huge here in Brazil. A little cheaper iX50 would be a really serious competitor against Teslas.

@Jamezola That's fantastic. Amazing to see that. I'm getting about 250 miles out of my iX40 this time of year in the UK, although most of my trips are short urban where I make use of the acceleration and have climate control on.

Unless I’m stuck in the London traffic, I constantly see 3.8-4.0 mi/kw. I have to admit I drive like a grandpa and constantly go 40-45 on a 60 road and very shy on gas

Yesterday I did a little experiment and achieved 4.1 over a 35 mile road with some extra attention. That would imply 314 mile range with ix40!

But again, I made an effort, didn’t speed up on ramps etc and weather was perfect
