IDrive Screen Went Blank

I have the latest software version 11/2022.64 updated months ago in my ‘23 iX M60, but just this morning the iDrive screen went blank. The drives side just displayed the speed and charge data while the navigation side lost traffic information, navigation guidance, etc., as shown in the picture below. However, Apple CarPlay was working fine.

Has anyone seen this before? I might note that since the major SW update I did go through a full reset as it was having some Bluetooth issues but everything was working mostly fine in the last couple of months. Also, I have not gone back into the car to drive again so I don’t know if the issue is resolved. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

The latest software is in fact 3/2023.53, and the right side of the screen is not visible in your photo. But yes, it's been reported that the right side of the screen has gone blank or has just the BMW logo on it. The resolution is generally a system reboot and sleep cycle for the car - turn off, exit and lock the car, and return an hour or so later, or overnight.
I will see what happens when I drive back home today. If it doesn’t correct itself, I plan to do a hard reset later. On the available SW version, the app tells me the latest is what I have; somehow this car is not eligible (?).
Here’s a picture of the other side; not blank but navigation is not working properly.

You might have accidentally triggered "Screen Off" through hand gestures. This kept happening to me and it took me a couple weeks before I figured out that I was accidentally turning off the screen via hand gestures. The fact that CarPlay kept working and my music was still playing sounds very similar to what you are seeing!
That wasn’t the case here though, as you can see from the two pictures: the blank screen was in the drivers side, and the second picture shows that the nab side was still on but somewhat incorrect.

Your car will likely not do an OTA update with your software version - you'll need a dealer update. And it sounds like your nav problem is more of a server connection or communication problem for your area - which can possibly be resolved with a reboot but more likely with a software update. Best bet is to contact your dealer and have them install the latest - and you didn’t say if you've had the airbag recall replacement (you might not need it) or seat module reprogrammed (if you haven't, you do, and that's also connected with your ability to get OTA updates). You might want to read through this forum for background.
So, on my drive back the drivers side screen was back to what it’s supposed to be; it did not need a reboot. My app claims I have the latest SW so the newer versions perhaps doesn’t apply to my car. Thanks for reminder on the air bag recall which I have ignored largely due to my lack of confidence on the nearest dealer’s ability to fix on first try. I don’t have anything shown on a seat module and neither was I aware of it; I will check on that.

The air bag recall is processed by VIN, so your dealer should have the info specific to your car - since you have a MY23 M60 you may not require it. And the seat module recall won't normally show up as a "recall" but a technology enhancement (SIB 521 023), and it applies to all iX models. The software update does apply to your car (and all earlier versions of iDrive 8), and your app will never show you an update is due until you get off version 11/2022.64, and you will never receive an OTA update until you are at least to version 3/2023.45 - and that will require a dealer install.
Thank you for your replies. I appreciate the help.
