your dealer can see and provide. But in US you guys have better visibility through bmwusa site you can follow production progress (it won't tell the status code perhaps) below codes I copy pasted from another BMW forum I assume it is accurate.

In the USA you can track your status by the VIN number and I think also with the order number.
in Europe, It's only dealer who can see it.
Beside the fact that status 150 has been reached, and chassis is ready, also the other parts of the car needs to be delivered before assembling.
For the iX it seems that it takes about 2 weeks, other models could be faster.
If some parts are missing in the delivery chain, then it can takes more time.
I asked regularly the status by my dealer asking him "If there is a chassis in the warehouse or a car on the parking?"

My car’s status just went backwards. It was in a “Scheduled For Production” status, with a production date of March 6, and now is in an “Order Received” status. Car was just moved from production date of March 6 to a production date of May 1.
 
Hi All, this is my experience for my UK iX Sport40, Blue Ridge Mountain, Black interior and 1011 alloy.
Handover in 2.5 days time………and counting…….

TIMELINE: 4 months from order to delivery & 6 weeks from start of production to handover:

Ordered 28th February 2022
Started production 9th May
Finished production 24th May.
Arrived BMW UK 22nd June
Arrive Dealer 28th June
Handover Friday 1st July
